I was born in Sittard and from when I turned two years old I have lived in Borgharen, one of the villages that would flood when the river Maas had high-water. I lived there until I moved to Sittard to study to become a teacher in mathematics, physics and informatics. I have been married over 25 years to Wilma and we have been living in Valkenburg aan de Geul for over 30 years. We have two children, our son Gyan and daughter Kiki. They both study at the University of Utrecht.
To keep fit I fitness twice a week. During the weekend I like to play golf. And, I truly enjoy life, a nice dinner and a drink.
In 1987 I took on my first job at DSM. I started out as a programmer, became a technical designer, functional designer and information analyst. This route gave me the opportunity to experience a variety of aspects within IT; project lead, package selection, package implementation, service management, contract management and designing Service Level Agreements on SAP exploitation and administering. During this period, I fulfilled several roles in management like team lead, project management, line management, field management and interim management. With the experience gained I was ready to become an independent entrepreneur in 2001. With a couple of colleagues, we founded Qrcus B.V., an SAP consultancy firm based in Sittard. During this period, I have been coaching and facilitating a team of well-educated SAP professionals and I run the day-to-day operations.
